A Special Class with Manga Department Supervisor Professor Rokuda

A special class was held with Tokyo Design Academy’s Manga Department Supervisor Professor Noboru Rokuda, whose hit works “F” and “Dasshu kappei” were made into animated television shows. The hour long event on the theme of “Comic Artists and the Comic Industry” was a part of the “Career Design Seminar” for second-year students.

Because Professor Rokuda often gives speeches and lectures, the atmosphere of the class did not feel stiff or formal. Instead, he shared stories of his struggles while starting out as a comic artist and talked directly with the students, so the special event as a whole proceeded in a very relaxed fashion.
